[origin: WO9101572A1] A battery (1) which includes at least one electrochemical cell having: a negative electrode (4); an electrolyte; and a positive electrode (5). The positive electrode has an active material which includes or comprises Lithium Vanadium Oxide having a stoichiometry of LiVOx? where 2.5 x 3. A method of manufacturing the active material by decomposition of a Manganese salt and Ammonium Vanadate (NH4?VO3?) is also disclosed.

L'électrode positive a une matière active qui inclut ou contient un oxyde de lithium vanadium d'une stoichiométrie de LiVOx où 2.5 x 3. La présente invention décrit aussi une méthode de fabrication de cette matière active par décomposition d'un sel de manganèse et de vanadate d'ammonium (NH4VO3).
