[origin: EP0436054A1] Speed governor for a fuel injection pump (2) for internal combustion engines, on which the feed quantity adjusting element (16) is operated through the intermediary of a reversing lever (12), on which, in order to determine the control travel (RW), the revolutions sensor (10) engages on one side and the load range input (20) on the other, the swivelling distance of the reversing lever (12) being limitable on the side of the load range input (20) by way of an operating stop (38), variable as a function of operating parameters, and a rocker lever (41) being arranged between the setting lever (25), adjustable as required by the driver, and its coupling point (40) on the reversing lever (12), which rocker lever, in the nature of a free-wheel with spring loading, is frictionally driven in the one adjustment direction by a drag spring (43) against the setting lever (25) but is flexible in the other adjusting direction once the force of the drag spring is overcome. <IMAGE>
