[origin: EP0436258A2] What is proposed is an alarm system for a coin-operated gaming machine which has a plurality of potential-free contact terminals connectable to a visual and/or acoustic alarm indicator device. Thus, there is one contact terminal which is connected, on the one hand, to a switch actuable by a coin running through in the pay-out channel of the coin-operated gaming machine and, on the other hand, to at least one contact activated by the control unit, in the event of an intended pay-out the switch being bridged by the contact in order to prevent an alarm signal, whereas, in the event of an unintended pay-out, the switch is actuated and an alarm signal is triggered via the contact terminal. <IMAGE>
