The invention describes a return roll (1) which is used especially in a turning-bar system in the withdrawal and winding up of laid-flat sheet webs (7) and onto which the sheet web (7) runs obliquely in a tangential plane. In the case of this return roll, a contact surface (6) is formed by circumferentially distributed sliding vane elements (5) which are freely displaceable in the axial direction in grooves (20), crease-free running of the sheet web thereby being obtained. In the angular range in which the sheet web (7) is not in contact, the elements (5) are pushed back into the initial position by a return device (9) having a guide surface (10). <IMAGE>

Es wird eine Umlenkwalze (1) beschrieben, die insbesondere in einem Wendestangensystem beim Abziehen und Aufwickeln flachgelegter Folienbahnen (7) benutzt wird und auf die die Folienbahn (7) in einer Tangentialfläche schräg aufläuft. Bei dieser Umlenkwalze wird eine Überlauffläche (6) durch umfangsverteilte Schiebeelemente (5) gebildet, die in axialer Richtung in Nuten (20) frei verschiebbar sind, so daß ein faltenfreier Lauf der Folienbahn erzielt wird. In dem von der Folienbahn (7) nicht umschlungenen Winkelbereich werden die Elemente (5) durch eine Rückstelleinrichtung (9) mit Führungsfläche (10) in die Anfangsposition zurückgedrängt. <IMAGE>
