[origin: DE4001419C1] Catalyser for exhaust gas has a housing (1) with a middle section (2) to which conical inlet (3) and outlet funnels are attached. In the middle section, an elastic mat (4) covers one or several catalyst supports (5) of metal or ceramic. The housing is corrugated with internally directed corrugations being spaced at a distance which is more than double their radius and which is at least 4 times their radius. The total corrugation height is less than the difference between the allowable minimum and maximum mat thickness.
