Stiffening ribs for giving stability to the side walls of a swimming pool, having a bearing surface (26) at the floor level, an internal surface (25) of complementary shape to that of the wall (11,12,13) of the swimming pool (10) to which the stiffening rib (20) is attached and an external surface (24) oriented in such a way that the stiffening rib counter balances the local thrust (F) of the water on the wall of the swimming pool at the location where the stiffening rib is attached, comprising four branches: two lower branches (21,21') arranged as an upside down "V" and two upper branches (22,22') arranged as a "V". <IMAGE>

Renforts de stabilisation des flancs latéraux d'une piscine, présentant une surface d'appui (26) au sol , une surface interne (25) de forme complémentaire à celle du flanc (11,12,13) de la piscine (10) sur lequel le renfort (20) est rapporté et une surface externe (24), orientée de telle sorte que le renfort contre-balance la poussée locale (F) de l'eau sur le flanc de la piscine à l'endroit où le renfort est rapporté, comportant quatre branches : deux branches inférieures (21,21') agencées en "V" inversé et deux branches supérieures (22, 22') agencées en "V". <IMAGE>
