2.1 The invention relates to a control valve for controlling a high pressure line, preferably an injection line for diesel internal combustion engines. A disadvantage of these control valves is that the flow, when being reduced, breaks down behind the control valve seat, tending to cavitation. The object of the invention is to prevent cavitation in the reducing area of the control valve and thereby to increase the lifespan of the control valve. 2.2 According to the invention the object is met in that the reducing area (8) has a constriction (9) which begins on the outlet of a control valve seat (3) and runs out into a low pressure control section (7). <IMAGE>

2.1 Die Erfindung betrifft ein Steuerventil zum Steuern einer Hochdruckleitung, vorzugsweise einer Einspritzleitung für Dieselbrennkraftmaschinen. Nachteilig an diesen Steuerventilen ist, daß die Strömung beim Absteuern hinter dem Steuerventilsitz abreißt und zu Kavitation neigt. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, die Kavitation im Absteuerbereich des Steuerventils zu vermeiden, und dadurch die Lebensdauer des Steuerventils zu erhöhen. 2.2 Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß der Absteuerbereich (8) eine Einschnürung (9) aufweist, die am Auslauf eines Steuerventilsitzes (3) beginnt und in ein Niederdruckführungsteil (7) ausläuft. <IMAGE>
