[origin: WO9101771A1] An airway adapter for disposition between an endotracheal tube and an artificial breathing system which includes a central adapter body (100) with a gas pathway therethrough, a sampling port (120) that is disposed from the sidewall of the central body and is in fluid communication with the gas pathway (108), and a hub/filter assembly (200) that is fixed within the sampling port (120) with the filter (230) extending into the gas pathway of the central body section and with the hub/filter (200) assembly being configured for passing therethrough in a first direction a gas sample for analysis and in a second direction purging air to clean the filter.

Un adaptateur de voie d'air destiné à être placé entre un tube situé dans la trachée et un système de respiration artificielle comprenant un élément central d'adaptation (100) avec un conduit interne pour le gaz, un orifice pour le prélèvement (120), qui se situe dans la paroi latérale de l'élément central et qui permet le passage de fluides par le conduit pour le gaz (108), et un élément de moyen/filtre (200) qui se trouve placé à l'intérieur de l'orifice pour le prélèvement (120), dont le filtre (230) s'introduit dans le conduit pour le gaz de la partie d'élément central et dont l'élément de moyeu/filtre (200) est conçu de manière à laisser passer à l'intérieur, dans un premier sens, un échantillon de gaz pour l'analyse et dans un deuxième sens, de l'air de purge pour nettoyer le filtre.
