Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kochfeld mit einem Träger aus Glas oder Glaskeramik mit darunter angeordneten Heizelementen und mit einer Leuchteinrichtung zur optischen Anzeige der eine vorbestimmte, für eine Berührung zulässige Temperatur übersteigende Erwärmung des Trägers mittels eines Leuchtorgans. Erfindungsgemäß ist das Leuchtorgan innerhalb oder in der Peripherie der durch das Heizelement bestimmten Stellfläche angeordnet. <IMAGE>
