Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0438731A2] A doctor blade device for an inking device with circulation of ink in a rotary printing machine consists of a doctor blade support, on which there are fastened in parallel two doctor blades which can be placed against a forme inking roller and, together with the forme inking roller, the doctor blade support and sealing means provided at the ends of the latter, bound a closed ink chamber. The ink is supplied and discharged to and from the ink chamber by ducts. The doctor blade support can be pressed onto the forme inking roller by setting devices. In order to prevent ink from escaping from the ink chamber in the case of oscillating movements of the doctor blade device, the sealing means consist of mouldings (19) of elastic or elastomeric material which have sealing surfaces (20,21), sloped in a gable shape, on their side facing the forme inking roller for the end regions of the doctor blades and, between the latter, in each case a sealing surface (26) which is curved in the manner of a cylindrical shell and can be placed against the forme inking roller, with a radius of curvature corresponding to the forme inking roller. <IMAGE>
