Abstract (en)
[origin: DE4002144A1] The closing mechanism bends clip prongs of a loose leaf binding system into engagement and has two opposite jaws (1,2). Each jaw has rib-type tools (5,6;7,8) forming lines of contact points for the C-shaped prongs (9) of the clip (10). The top ones (5,6) are so designed that they generate a greater friction grip on the prongs. For this purpose they are pref spaced further apart than the bottom ones (7,8).
