[origin: EP0438764A1] The invention relates to a cigarette-packaging machine having at least two continuously rotating conveyors (6, 9, 10) which possess axially open cells (7, 8), are arranged offset axially relative to one another and are designed especially at least partially as cellular turrets, and having a pushover device (22, 23; 54, 55) for pushing over articles from a cell of one conveyor (6, 9) into an aligned cell of another conveyor (9, 10) in a transfer region extending over a segment of an arc of a circle. To guarantee a perfect pushover despite a high packaging speed, the first pushover device (22, 23; 54, 55) comprises a slide turret (22; 54) which rotates continuously with an associated conveyor (6; 10) and which has a plurality of slide devices (23; 55) which each comprise a slide (27) axially movable by cam control and which are so arranged according to the cell division of the associated conveyor (6, 10) that, at least in the transfer region, the slides (27) are essentially in alignment with the cells of the conveyors (6, 9 and 9, 10). <IMAGE>
