Abstract (en)
The invention provides an improved shotgun barrel (10) which includes a plurality of lands (14), for example, six, which reduce spin or rotation of the wad and hence reduce the dispersion or spread of the associated shotgun pellets. The lands are formed by depositing a material, for example, chrome, onto the barrel's internal surface (12). The lands (14) extend for the full length of the barrel and are preferably equidistantly spaced around the barrel and parallel to the barrel's central axis. <IMAGE>
