[origin: US5198974A] Safety device for motorized rolling shutter comprising a generator of a signal representing the displacement of the rolling shutter and a logic processing unit (10) capable of working in learning mode and in operating mode for recording and processing signal samples and for comparing the values obtained in operating mode with the values obtained in learning mode in order to control the stopping of the motor (5) of the rolling shutter when there is an obstacle and for providing, if necessary, other functions such as the automatic stopping in the high position and in the low position, or the triggering of an alarm. The generator comprises a pulley on which is wound a flexible element (9) whose other end is connected to the end (8) of the rolling shutter, such that the unrolling of the rolling shutter (1) drives the pulley whose axis is mechanically connected to a signal generator, for example a synchronous motor.
