[origin: EP0440104A1] The partition wall for the subdivision of spaces which is formed from one or more wall elements (10) joined together has a filling (11) which is surrounded by vertical profiled bars (12, 13) and horizontal profiled bars (14, 15) connected thereto. The wall elements are placed between vertical profiled bars which are fixed to the walls of the space and connected to one another by fixing elements, and are additionally secured by holding rails (18, 19) fixed to the floor and ceiling. <??>For simplified mounting and re-use of the individual wall elements when altering or rearranging the partition wall, the adjacent vertical profiled bars are arranged at a short distance from one another and the fixing elements are formed by clip strips which engage regionally over the adjacent vertical profiled bars on both sides and are locked to one another between the vertical profiled bars. <IMAGE>
