[origin: EP0365448A2] The invention relates to a magnetic recording medium which is comprised of magnetic particles and a binder. The binder is a highly cross-linked tridimensional polyurethane formed of a branched polyol including at least 8 % by mass of OH groups and having a molecular weight lower than 4000 and of an isocyanate prepolymer having at least 3 isocyanate functions. In one embodiment, the lubricant is polytetrafluoroethylene in powder form of which at least 90 % of the particles have a size lower than 3 mu m and is present for less than 2 % by mass based on the mass of magnetic particles. Application to the production of a magnetic medium which is on the one hand hard and resistant and on the other hand coherent and little abrasive.

L'invention concerne un milieu d'enregistrement magnétique. Le milieu d'enregistrement magnétique comprend des particules magnétiques et un liant. Le liant est un polyuréthane tridimensionnel hautement réticulé formé d'un polyol ramifié comprenant au moins 8 % en masse de groupes OH, et ayant un poids moléculaire inférieur à 4000 et d'un prépolymère d'isocyanate comprenant au moins 3 fonctions isocyanate. Dans un mode de réalisation, le lubrifiant est un polytétrafluoroéthylène en poudre dont au moins 90 % des particules ont une dimension inférieure à 3 mum et est présent à raison de moins de 2 % en masse par rapport à la masse des particules magnétiques. Application à l'obtention d'un milieu magnétique qui est à la fois d'une part dur et résistant, et d'autre part cohérent et peu abrasif.
