What is described is a device for controlling material webs, for example photographic films or paper webs or magnetic tapes, in a so-called two-roller hollow sucker, a pressure difference prevailing in the region of the pair of rollers between the topside and underside of the web, and, according to the invention, a packing wedge being so arranged in the free inner space (10) between the rollers (2, 3), starting from each of the roller outer edges, that it engages under the web edges (17) of the sagging web part (5), is matched to the cross-sectional shape of the rollers and is spaced slightly from the running surfaces of the rollers. In an especially preferred embodiment, the packing wedge is hollowed out in the form of a trough and extends transversely relative to the running direction, descending in the direction of the middle of the web. <IMAGE>

Beschrieben ist eine Vorrichtung zum Steuern von Materialbahnen (1), beispielsweise fotografischen Filmen oder Papierbahnen oder Magnetbändern in einem sogenannten Zwei-Walzenhohlsauger, wobei im Bereich des Walzenpaares (2,3) zwischen der Ober- und der Unterseite der Bahn (1) eine Druckdifferenz besteht und wobei erfindungsgemäß beidseitig ausgehend von den Walzenaußenkanten je ein Dichtkeil (6) im freien Innenraum (10) zwischen den Walzen (2, 3) so angeordnet ist, daß er die Bahnränder (17) des durchhängenden Bahnteils (5) untergreift, der Querschnittsform der Walzen (2,3) nachgebildet ist und von den Laufflächen der Walzen (2,3) geringfügig beabstandet ist. In einer besonders bevorzugten Ausführung ist der Dichtkeil (6) wannenförmig ausgehöhlt und verläuft quer zur Laufrichtung abfallend in Richtung Bahnmitte. <IMAGE>
