Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0441151A1] In a watertap (2) having a housing which can be connected to the supply-line network and a water outlet (261) which is constructed as a hose spray (25) capable of being pulled out, an aeration device being provided to prevent backflow of service water via the hose spray (25), it is proposed, for improvement and in particular substantially independent arrangement of the aeration device (3) with respect to the watertap valve, that there be provided in the line to the water outlet at least one interruptor valve, the valve closure member of which is movably arranged in a valve housing between two mutually opposite valve seats, one valve seat enclosing an opening (41) to the atmosphere and the other valve seat enclosing the inflow opening (36) for the effluent water, whereas the outlet opening to the water outlet (37) is provided outside the valve seats in the valve housing, the valve closure member being held tightly against the valve seat with the inflow opening with a specific force in such a way that it bears against the outlet pipe at least when atmospheric pressure prevails in the latter. <IMAGE>
