[origin: WO9103674A1] This invention relates to a seal ring for a sleeve joint, which besides sealing also locks the sleeve (3) and an insert end (4) together in the longitudinal direction of the pipes. An axial locking is needed especially in connection with pressure pipes. The locking effect of the seal ring (6) can be improved by making the ring at least partially of a material (8) expanding when coming into contact with a liquid.

On prévoit un anneau d'étanchéité pour un raccord à emboîtement. L'anneau sert non seulement à rendre étanche, mais également à serrer ensemble le manchon (3) et une extrémité insérée (4) dans le sens longitudinal des tuyaux. Un serrage axial est nécessaire notamment dans le cas des tuyaux de refoulement. L'effet de serrage de l'anneau (6) d'étanchéité peut être amélioré en fabriquant l'anneau au moins partiellement en un matériau (8) expansible au contact avec un liquide.
