[origin: DE4004393A1] Individual grates (2) are arranged on a carrier (3) in rows with provision for alternate rows (2') to move lengthwise (4). Air is blown from a ventilator (6) into an air chamber under the carrier (3), and through nozzles (14) controlled by magnetic valves (17) from a wind chest (18) fed form an air compressor (19). The surface of the hot layer (12) is raster-scanned by a temp. sensor (22) linked to a computer (23) operating the valves (17). Regions of locally higher temp. are cooled forcibly by impulsive jets of air.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren sowie einen Rostkühler zum Kühlen von heißem Gut, wobei Bereiche der Kühlgutschicht, die eine höhere Temperatur als die umgebenden Schichtzonen aufweisen, durch impulsweise zugeführte Kühlluftstöße zusätzlich gekühlt und umgeschichtet werden. Auf diese Weise läßt sich der Rekuperationsgrad des Rostkühlers wesentlich verbessern.
