[origin: EP0442479A1] The transportable, approximately cuboid-shaped storage bin and/or tool-box for small components, in particular for tools, comprises a base (1), a rear wall (2) optionally provided with suspension means, two side walls (3), a top wall (4), a front-wall folding part (5) which is connected to a top-wall folding part (6), forming the front region of the top wall, and lateral end parts (7) which complete the side walls (3). It is mounted so as to be pivotable from a closed position, 180 DEG about a pivot axis parallel to the rear wall, to the open position and vice versa. Above the top-wall base part is provided a carrying handle (8) which extends in the container longitudinal direction and can be gripped regardless of whether the top-wall folding part/front-wall folding part unit (5, 6) is in the open or closed position. Simpler manufacture of different-sized containers and more comfortable carrying result if a linkage (9), permitting the pivoting through 180 DEG , is arranged in each case between the lateral end parts (7) of the top-wall folding part/front-wall folding part unit (5, 6) and the associated side wall (3). This linkage comprises a fixing point (10) for, respectively, one of the two ends of the carrying handle (8) extending over the entire container length. With the aid of this linkage, the top-wall folding part/front-wall folding part unit (5, 6) can be pivoted about the carrying handle (8) from the closed to the open position and vice versa. <IMAGE>
