[origin: EP0442723A1] For roughly shingling stacks composed of flexible planar objects, such as fabric workpieces, a stack is placed over an axis connecting two hinged support surfaces (112, 114) one (114) of which is rotated relative to the other (112) to bend the workpieces and form a shingle with the trailing end of the stack (122) clamped to the first one (112, Fig. 2C).
