[origin: EP0442815A1] The present invention concerns a reinforced container comprising walls made of semi-rigid material, in particular plastic, formed from cellular or solid panels constituting the bottom, the four lateral (12, 13) and longitudinal (10, 11) walls and, on at least two opposite walls or on a part of the upper surface, a rim folded back to form a sheath through which passes a welded metal rod (2) intended to surround at least part of the container. The folded-back edge is held in the sheath shape by the clamping of its end portion between the metal rod and the adjacent wall. <IMAGE>
