L'invention concerne des compositions de gel pouvant être utilisées dans des conditions extrêmes, comprenant un copolymère bloc styrène-alkylène-styrène et au moins 500 parties de liquide diluant pour 100 parties du copolymère; dans ces compositions (a) le copolymère a une masse moléculaire comprise dans une plage optimale sélectionnée; et/ou (b) le liquide diluant est paraffine/naphtène sensiblement non aromatique présentant un rapport paraffine:naphtène compris dans une plage optimale sélectionnée; et/ou (c) la composition contient en outre un agent d'adhésion de poly(butène-isoprène).
