[origin: DE4005254A1] The ski binding for detachably holding a ski-boot (25) has two non-circular base-sections (6, 7) pivoting on a pin (3) and to which are attached couplings (27, 28) cooperating with coutner-couplings (26). A lower holder (21) is positioned on one base-section (7) as a coupling. It can move between a locking position and a release position in the direction of the ski's vertical axis. As it moves into a release position, the holder pushes one base section away from the other (6) against the force of the sprung piece (14). The holder in its release position, holds the base piece away from the pin on which the holder is directly or indirectly supported, against the force of the spring.

Zwei Basisteile (6,7) werden durch ein zwischen ihnen wirksames Federaggregat gegen voneinander abgewandte Seiten eines skifesten Zapfens (3) mit unrundem Querschnitt gespannt, derart, daß die gemeinsam um den Zapfen (3) schwenkbaren Basisteile in eine Sollage gedrängt und beim Verlassen der Sollage voneinander abgerückt werden. Der Skischuh (25) ist formschlüssig zwischen Kupplungselementen (27,28) und einem Niederhalter (21) an den Basisteilen gehaltert. Der Niederhalter (21) stützt sich (über 24,19,18) am Zapfen (3) ab, derart, daß bei einer Aufwärtsbewegung das eine Basisteil (7) vom Zapfen (3) sowie dem anderen Basisteil (6) abgerückt wird. <IMAGE>
