The sliding door possesses at least one door leaf (3) which is guided via hangers by means of running rollers (28) so as to be suspended on an upper guide rail (6), additional guides for guide elements connected to the door leaf being provided in the region of the lower door aperture edge. In order to guarantee a flush fitting of the door leaf in the closed position against a frame or a surround of the door aperture or sealing elements provided there, but nevertheless to allow an easily moving adjustment of the door leaf into the opening position, the guide rail (6) forms in the region of the door aperture (2) with the upper door aperture edge a low angle of incidence opening towards the push-out side of the door leaf (3), as seen in a top view, and the door leaf is mounted on the hangers at the corresponding angle of incidence relative to the guide rail (6), so that, in the closed position, it is aligned with the door aperture edge and, following the path of the guide rail (6), lifts off from the door aperture edge from the start of the opening movement onwards. <IMAGE>

Das Schiebetor besitzt wenigstens einen Torflügel, (3), der über Gehänge mit Laufrollen (28) an einer oberen Führungsschiene (6) hängend geführt ist, wobei im Bereich des unteren Toröffnungsrandes zusätzliche Führungen für mit dem Torflügel verbundene Führungselemente vorgesehen sind. Um eine satte Anlage des in der Schließstellung befindlichen Torflügels an einem Rahmen oder einer Einfassung der Toröffnung bzw. dort vorgesehenen Dichtelementen zu gewährleisten, trotzdem aber eine leichtgängige Verstellung des Torflügels in die Öffnungslage zu ermöglichen, schließt die Führungsschiene (6) im Bereich der Toröffnung (2) in Draufsicht gesehen mit dem oberen Toröffnungsrand einen flachen, sich nach der Ausschiebeseite des Torflügels (3) öffnenden Anstellwinkel ein und der Torflügel ist an den Gehängen in dem entsprechenden Anstellwinkel zur Führungsschiene (6) angebracht, so daß er in der Schließstellung mit dem Toröffnungsrand fluchtet und dem Verlauf der Führungsschiene (6) folgend, vom Beginn der Öffnungsbewegung an vom Toröffnungsrand abhebt. <IMAGE>
