The invention relates to a sanitary bathtub, in particular a whirlpool bathtub, having a draining outlet (1) and a covering hood (10) which projects over the draining outlet (1) with a plate-like covering portion (11), a discharge outlet designed as an annular gap (3) being provided, at any rate in the open position of the covering hood (10), between a peripheral region (20) of the covering portion (11) and a wall portion (2) of the bathtub bottom or a bathtub side wall. The annular gap is designed as a fluidic hair-catching device.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Sanitärwanne, insbesondere Whirlpoolwanne, mit einer Abflußöffnung (1) und einer Abdeckhaube, (10) welche die Abflußöffnung (1) mit einem tellerförmigen Abdeckabschnitt (11) überkragt, wobei jedenfalls in Öffnungsstellung der Abdeckhaube (10) zwischen einem Umfangsbereich (20) des Abdeckabschnitts (11) und einem Wandabschnitt (2) des Wannenbodens oder einer Wannenseitenwand eine als Ringspalt (3) ausgebildete Durchflußöffnung vorgesehen ist. Der Ringspalt ist als strömungsmechanische Haarverfangsicherung ausgebildet.
