Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0444312A1] The disc roller has an insulated and cooled support tube (1) which is equipped with a large number of discs (3). Each disc is supported on two lateral guide devices (5, 6) and is connected to these by axial bolts (7). Between the discs and the support tube, there is formed a cavity which is delimited laterally by the guide devices and is preferably filled with insulating material (8). The disc roller is characterised by very good thermal and transport characteristics. <IMAGE>
