Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a process and a device for the separation of admixtures from a flow of air. In the process, corona discharges are produced between an emitter and an electrically conducting liquid in the space through which the air flows. According to the invention, a plurality of alternately positive and negative corona discharges are produced perpendicular to the air flow one behind the other in the direction of flow. The device contains a plurality of consecutively arranged containers (9) each containing an emitter (3, 6) alternately connected in the flow direction of the air to be cleaned to a positive and a negative high-voltage source. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Abscheidung von Beimischungen aus einem Luftstrom, bei welchem in dem von der Luft durchströmten Raum Koronaentladungen zwischen einem Emitter und einer elektrisch leitenden Flüssigkeit erzeugt werden. Gemäß der Erfindung werden in Strömungsrichtung hintereinander mehrere abwechselnd positive und negative Koronaentladungen quer zum Luftstrom erzeugt. Die Vorrichtung enthält mehrere hintereinander angeordnete Behälter (9), in denen je ein Emitter (3, 6) angeordnet ist, die in Strömungsrichtung der zu reinigenden Luft in abwechselnder Folge an eine positive und an eine negative Hochspannungsquelle angeschlossen sind. <IMAGE>
