[origin: EP0446195A2] A one-channel circuit for a hearing aid for persons hard of hearing, comprising a preamplifier and an output amplifier, a microphone and an earpiece, and a rectifier circuit for generating a control voltage for a voltage-dependent attenuator which follows the preamplifier. To provide an advantageous characteristic with respect to the voice comprehensibility over the entire gain range with such a circuit, it is provided that a voltage-controlled filter (4) is provided for signal-dependent frequency response changing, the control input of which is connected to the rectifier circuit (7), the voltage-controlled filter (4) being connected via a timing section (t2) to the rectifier circuit which is preferably constructed as full-wave rectifier circuit.
