A reinforcing layer connected to the muff body (1) by interpenetration of the material or by interlocking has a high rigidity which ensures that the welding pressure is absorbed during welding and the service life is prolonged.

Un manchon à souder comporte un corps tubulaire thermoplastique (1) qui présente sur sa surface intérieure un filament enroulé chauffant. Une couche de renforcement liée au corps de manchon (1) par liaison de matière et/ou de forme possède une rigidité élevée qui assure l'absorption de la pression de soudage lors du processus de soudage ainsi qu'une longévité accrue.
