Abstract (en)
For sewing a label (E) onto a cloth piece (S), the label (E) is pushed through a guide channel (10) until it is detected by a label sensor (74) which activates an air nozzle (76). The airstream issuing from this drives the label (E) into a transfer station. The latter is formed by two grippers (36, 38) which are arranged at a specific distance from one another and which each consist of a lower (40) and an upper (46) gripper jaw clamping the edges of the label (E) between them. Advancing cylinders (20, 22) push the grippers, together with the label (E) held by them, to the sewing point (4). The spacing of the grippers (36, 38) can be varied by means of a threaded-spindle arrangement (58-70), so that labels (E) of different sizes can be handled. <IMAGE>

Zum Annähen eines Etiketts (E) an ein Stoffstück (S) wird das Etikett (E) durch einen Führungskanal (10) geschoben, bis es von einem Etikett-Sensor (74) erfaßt wird, der eine Luftdüse (76) aktiviert. Der daraus austretende Luftstrom treibt das Etikett (E) in eine Übernahmestation. Diese ist gebildet durch zwei mit einem definierten Abstand voneinander angeordnete Greifer (36, 38), jeweils bestehend aus einer unteren (40) und einer oberen (46) Greiferbacke, die die Ränder des Etiketts (E) zwischen sich einklemmen. Vorschubzylinder (20, 22) schieben die Greifer mit dem von ihnen gehaltenen Etikett (E) zu der Nähstelle (4). Der Abstand der Greifer (36, 38) läßt sich mit Hilfe einer Gewindespindelanordnung (58-70) variieren, um verschiedengroße Etiketten (E) handhaben zu können. <IMAGE>
