In high-pressure discharge lamps, especially in halogen metal-vapour discharge lamps with a sodium or lithium additive in the filling, an undesired ion migration occurs which leads to a change in the filling constitution and reduces the lamp life. External electrical fields promote this ion migration. In order to screen their electrical fields, the power supply lines (12, 13) running in the immediate vicinity of the discharge vessel (4) are provided with an electrically insulating sleeve (14) which consists of a material having a high dielectric constant. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei Hochdruckentladungslampen, insbesondere bei Halogen-Metalldampfentladungslampen mit Na- oder Li-Zusatz in der Füllung, tritt eine unerwünschte Ionen-Migration auf, die zur Änderung der Füllungszusammensetzung führt und die Lampenlebensdauer herabsetzt. Äußere elektrische Felder begünstigen diese Ionen-Migration. Zur Abschirmung ihrer elektrischen Felder werden die in unmittelbarer Nähe des Entladungsgefäßes (4) verlaufenden Stromzuführungen (12, 13) mit einer elektrisch isolierenden Hülle (14) versehen, die aus einem Material mit hoher Dielektrizitätskonstante besteht. <IMAGE>
