The gripper loom, the grippers of which are moved by means of insertion bands (4), has spacer elements (10a, 10b, 20) for the grippers, which ensure that, with the shed completely open, there is a spacing between the band (4) and lower shed (7b), for the purpose of at least partially preventing frictional stress between the warp yarns and band edge during the closing of the shed. The spacer elements can be in the form of sliding bodies (10a, 10b) which are attached to the underside of the gripper heads (3), and/or they can be in the form of spacer teeth (20) which are fastened to the slay (1) and which can penetrate into the shed between the warp yarns of the lower shed (7b).

Die Greiferwebmaschine, deren Greifer mittels Eintragsbändern (4) bewegt werden, weist Abstandhalteelemente (10a, 10b, 20) für die Greifer auf, die dafür sorgen, dass bei vollständig geöffnetem Fach zwischen Band (4) und Unterfach (7b) ein Abstand besteht mit dem Zweck, eine Reibbeanspruchung zwischen Kettfäden und Bandkante beim Schliessen des Fachs zumindest teilweise zu verhindern. Die Abstandhalteelemente können in Form von Gleitkörpern (10a, 10b) bestehen, die an der Unterseite der Greiferköpfe (3) angebracht sind und/oder sie können in Form von Abstandhalte-Zähnen (20) bestehen, die an der Weblade (1) befestigt sind und die zwischen den Kettfäden des Unterfachs (7b) ins Webfach eintreten können.
