Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0446842A1] 2.1 The object of the present invention is to create a pull switch which can be matched as a slim flush-mounted switch both into a flush-mounted wall installation socket conforming to the DIN Standard (diameter = 58 mm) and into a flush-mounted wall installation socket conforming to the CEE Standard, having screwless cable connection terminals and adequate switching power, in which a distance a >/= 6 mm is maintained between live parts and the CEE Standard socket wall, and in which all the live parts, in particular the cable connection terminals including the connecting cable wires are arranged within a housing base maximum dimension specified in accordance with the CEE Standard. 2.2 According to the invention it is provided that the housing base (1), which is fitted with screwless cable connection terminals (24I,24II,24III) is constructed to be centrally symmetrical, as a result of a rotation of the housing base (1) about a point-symmetry system (M0) with the rotation angle phi = 180 DEG , the housing base limiting points (B1,B2) being brought into coincidence along with the housing base boundary lines (b12,b21) connecting them, and that the distance (a1) between a contact rocker bearing point (P) and the first cable connection terminal (24I) is less than the distance (aII) between the contact rocker bearing point (P) and the second cable connection terminal (24II). <IMAGE>
