Abstract (en)
The process and the device according to the invention relate to the continuous rotary casting of metals or alloys. According to this process, casting of a metal round (8) is stopped as soon as the required length has been achieved; this round is transferred by a suitable transfer means (30), while keeping its vertical axis on a cooling support (21) which drives the round in rotation again, while optionally continuing its cooling by spraying a fluid, so as to permit solidification of the liquid phase under conditions permitting correct feeding and production of an equiaxed structure. <IMAGE>
