Abstract (en)
The spark plug connector is lengthened in the axial direction by a connecting piece (14). The sleeve-shaped connecting piece (14) which is formed by joining a first half shell (29) to a second half shell (31) and is mounted on the spark plug connector in a positively locking manner, surrounds the ignition cable (12), which is inserted into an insulating body (11), over part of its length. In this case, on an inner wall (22), the connecting piece (14) has ribs (24), which are inclined towards the spark plug connection side, project radially and press into the insulation of the ignition cable (12) in a positively locking manner. The fixed connection, produced in this way, between the ignition cable (12), the connecting piece (14) and the spark plug connector can be used, preferably in confined spatial conditions in the engine compartment, such as in the case of four-valve engines, as a result of the capability for pulling the spark plug connector off the spark plug over the ignition cable (12). <IMAGE>

Der Zündkerzenstecker ist mit einem Anschlußstück (14) in Achsrichtung verlängert. Das hülsenförmige Anschlußstück (14), das durch die Fügung einer ersten Halbschale (29) mit einer zweiten Halbschale (31) gebildet und formschlüssig an dem Zündkerzenstecker befestigt ist, umfaßt das in einen Isolierkörper (11) eingeführte Zündkabel (12) auf einer Teillänge. Das Anschlußstück (14) weist hier an einer Innenwandung (22) zur Zündkerzenanschlußseite hin geneigte, radial hervorstehende Rippen (24) auf, die in die Isolierung des Zündkabels (12) hineindrückend Formschlüsse bilden. Der so entstandene feste Verband zwischen Zündkabel (12), dem Anschlußstück (14) und dem Zündkerzenstecker ist durch die Möglichkeit des Abziehens des Zündkerzensteckers von der Zündkerze über das Zündkabel (12) vorzugsweise bei beengten Raumverhältnissen im Motorraum, wie etwa bei Vier-Ventil-Motoren, verwendbar. <IMAGE>
