Die Erfindung betrifft einen Fadenspeicher mit einem stillstehenden trommelförmigen Speicherkörper, auf dessen Oberfläche ein Faden von einem um die Trommelachse rotierenden Wickelarm ablegbar und abziehbar ist und schlägt zur Erzielung einer inbesondere bau- und gebrauchstechnisch günstigen Lösung vor, mindestens eine erste elektrische Einrichtung im Innern des Speicherkörpers (1) vorzusehen, welcher eine zweite elektrische Einrichtung (7) außerhalb des Speicherkörpers (1) zugeordnet ist, die mit der ersten durch eine elektrische Leitverbindung (8) verbunden ist. <IMAGE>
