The invention is based on a string instrument, in particular a bass guitar or electric guitar, which has in its body a compartment (3) for holding the components (8) of an electrical sound pick-off and, if required, amplification, the compartment being accessible via a cover (7) which is fitted detachably on the rear side of the body. In order that the attachment and detachment of the cover can be carried out more quickly and easily, the cover being held securely in the closed position, to be precise even when the instrument is being used, it is provided that a frame (6) is attached to the side wall (11) of the compartment (3), that the cover (7) is constructed such that it fits onto or into this frame, and that catches are provided between the frame and cover for the cover to be attached to and detached from the frame. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung geht aus von einem Saiteninstrument, insbesondere Bass- oder Elektrogitarre, das in seinem Körper ein Fach (3) zur Aufnahme der Bauteile (8) einer elektrischen Tonabnahme und ggfls. Verstärkung aufweist, wobei das Fach über einen an der Körperrückseite lösbar angebrachten Deckel (7) zugängig ist. Um das Befestigen und Lösen des Deckels schneller und einfacher vornehmen zu können, wobei der Deckel in der Schließlage und zwar auch bei Benutzung des Instrumentes sicher gehalten ist, ist vorgesehen, daß an der Seitenwand (11) des Faches (3) ein Rahmen (6) befestigt ist, daß der Deckel (7) auf oder in diesen Rahmen passend ausgebildet ist und daß zwischen Rahmen und Deckel zum Anbringen und Ablösen des Deckels am bzw. vom Rahmen Verrastungen vorgesehen sind. <IMAGE>
