In a fire protection flap comprising a frame (1) with an air penetration opening and a pivoting flap (5) located in the frame (1), which flap is adjusted more or less to fit the cross-section of the frame (1), the pivoting flap (5) should be provided at least partially with a sealing element or material (26) at the edge which expands or foams at increased temperature. Furthermore at least one stop bracket (27 or 28) is allocated to the pivoting flap (5) in its closed position, which at least partially seals the pivoting flap (5) from the frame (1). <IMAGE>

Bei einer Brandschutzklappe aus einem Rahmen (1) mit einer Luftdurchlaßöffnung und einem in dem Rahmen (1) ordneten Klappenflügel (5), welcher in etwa dem Querschnitt des Rahmens (1) angepaßt ist, soll der Klappenflügel (5) randseitig zumindest teilweise mit einem sich bei erhöhter Temperatur ausdehnenden oder aufschäumenden Dichtelement oder -material (26) belegt sein. Ferner ist dem Klappenflügel (5) in seiner Schließlage zumindest ein Anschlagwinkel (27 bzw. 28) zugeordnet, welcher den Klappenflügel (5) zum Rahmen (1) hin zumindest teilweise abdichtet. <IMAGE>
