Abstract (en)
The machine possesses a horizontal roller (1) which is equipped with beating pins (3) and under the underside of which bar grids (4, 5) are arranged. Above the top side of the roller (1) open out at one end of the latter an inlet line (9) and at the other end an outlet line (10) for a stream of conveying air transporting the textile fibres in flock form. Obliquely set guide plates (11) are arranged above the top side of the roller (1) between the mouths of the inlet line (9) and of the outlet line (10). The guide plates (11) limit transfer chambers which move the stream of conveying air further in the direction of the axis of the roller (1). The transfer chambers are connected to an air-permeable and dust-permeable wall (30) which is provided on the right-hand side of the machine, as seen in the Figure, and which is part of a vacuum chamber (20). The machine can consequently separate out of the stream of fibre flocks not only coarser impurities through the bar grids (4, 5), but also fine dust-like impurities which are sucked through the air-permeable and dust-permeable wall (30) into the vacuum chamber (20) and then into the suction line (15). <IMAGE>

Die Maschine besitzt eine liegende, mit Schlagstiften (3) besetzte Walze (1), unter deren Unterseite Stabroste (4, 5) angeordnet sind. Über der Oberseite der Walze (1) münden bei einem Ende derselben eine Einlassleitung (9) und beim anderen Ende eine Auslassleitung (10) für einen die Textilfasern in Flockenform transportierenden Förderluftstrom. Zwischen den Mündungen der Einlassleitung (9) und der Auslassleitung (10) sind über der Oberseite der Walze (1) schräg gestellte Leitplatten (11) angeordnet. Die Leitplatten (11) begrenzen Überleitkammern, welche den Förderluftstrom in Richtung der Achse der Walze (1) weiterbewegen. Die Überleitkammern sind mit einer auf der rechten Seite der Maschine vorgesehenen, Blick auf die Figur gesehen, luft- und staubdurchlässigen Wand (30) verbunden, welche Teil einer Unterdruckkammer (20) ist. Die Maschine kann damit aus dem Faserflockenstrom nicht nur gröbere Verunreinigungen durch die Stabroste (4, 5) hindurch abscheiden, sondern auch feine, staubförmige Verunreinigungen, die durch die luft- und staubdurchlässige Wand (30) hindurch in die Unterdruckkammer (2) und dann in die Saugleitung (15) gesaugt werden. <IMAGE>
