[origin: EP0448001A2] A door frame is proposed which is produced from a sheet metal band of less than 2.2 mm thickness and has two undercut grooves (2 and 4) in which are arranged a fireproofing strip (3) and a sealing strip (5) respectively. The sheet metal strip is formed in the cold state into a profile (1) whose cross-section corresponds to that of the frame provided with the grooves (2 and 4). The frame is composed from sections of the profile obtained exclusively through cold forming and is distinguished by a high stability in spite of the relatively small thickness of the starting material. <IMAGE>
