[origin: EP0448439A1] Process for fractionating a gaseous mixture containing hydrogen, light aliphatic hydrocarbons and light aromatic hydrocarbons. <??>After compression of the mixture (7) and separation of one or more light fractions (3 and 5), the gas (12) is brought into contact with light aliphatic hydrocarbons (13) and the hydrogen is then separated therefrom by permeation (16). Distillations (23 and 25) make it possible to isolate the aliphatic hydrocarbons (27) and the aromatic hydrocarbons (26). <??>The process is economical in energy and avoids undesirable crystallisations. <IMAGE>
