[origin: WO9006717A1] A method of inserting an instrument into the gastrointestinal tract of a mammal, by emplacing at least a portion of a flexible liner (50) to form within the intestine an inner tube within an outer tube, the inner tube defining a lumen lying within the intestine and having a distal end accessible via the anal opening from outside the body of the mammal, and thereafter passing the insrument to the lumen via its distal end. Another aspect is the combination of an elongatge evertible liner (50), a liner support chamber (12) having a proximal port (18) and a distal port (22), the liner having its two ends attached respectively at the ports, and a pressurizer for increasing the pressure within the chamber to cause the liner to be everted.

Le procédé décrit, qui sert à introduire un instrument endoscopique dans les voies gastro-intestinales d'un mammifère, consiste à disposer au moins une partie d'un revêtement intérieur flexible (50) pour former à l'intérieur de l'intestin un tube interne contenu dans un tube externe, le tube interne définissant un passage situé dans l'intestin et comportant une extrémité distale accessible depuis l'extérieur du corps du mammifère par la voie anale, puis à faire passer l'instrument dans ce passage via son extrémité distale. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, la présente invention combine un revêtement intérieur allongé pouvant être retourné (50), une chambre de support de revêtement intérieure (12) présentant un trou d'accès proximal (18) et un trou d'accès distal (22), auquel sont respectivement fixées les deux extrémités du revêtement intérieur, ainsi qu'un organe de pressurisation servant à augmenter la pression régnant dans la chambre, afin de retourner le revêtement intérieur.
