[origin: WO9104152A1] A composite material with qualities of insulation suitable for creating an insulative lining within cartons containing perishable products or encapsulating packages in which specified thermal stability is necessary is formed into one or more panels comprising a thermal property material core on at least one side of which is disposed a stiffening material such as card, both materials being encased within a plastics film such as polyester which may be metallized and the whole sealed to provide a waterproof insulative panel.

Un matériau composite présentant des caractéristiques isolantes utiles pour la réalisation d'un garnissage isolant dans des cartons contenant des produits périssables ou dans des conditionnements d'encapsulage auxquels une stabilité thermique est nécessaire. Un ou plusieurs panneaux comprenant une âme en matière d'isolation thermique sont réalisés à partir dudit matériau, une matière de raidissement telle que du carton étant disposée sur au moins un côté de l'âme. Les deux matières sont enrobées d'une feuille en matière plastique telle que du polyester, lequel est éventuellement métallisé. L'ensemble est ensuite rendu étanche de manière à réaliser un panneau isolant imperméable.
