[origin: EP0448788A1] The quick coupling device for an excavator for exchanging working implements is detachably fastened to an adaptor (3) of an articulated arm via locking elements (6) and is held on the articulated arm in such a way as to be pivotable about a horizontal axis. The locking elements consist of pistons which are arranged coaxially in a housing (9) and have end locking pins (12, 13) which can be shifted into an extended working position via an interposed compression spring (14) and into a retracted inoperative position inside the adaptor via the application of pressure controlled by a control unit. This design of the device ensures that the locking pins in the working position are under the stress of the compression spring. <IMAGE>
