Backward cutting edges (14, 15) incorporated in the transition steps (8, 9) between the cutting part (1) and the turned groove (3) have faces (16) which extend radially inward toward the axis (18) of the drill from the cutting part (1) of the drill beyond the diameter (4) of the turned groove into the twisted grooves (6, 7).

La partie coupante (1) d'un foret hélicoïdal est pourvue d'une encoche (3) permettant le fraisage circulaire. Des tranchants inverses (14, 15) incorporés dans les gradins de transition (8, 9) entre la partie coupante (1) et l'encoche (3) présentent des faces de coupe (16) qui s'étendent radialement vers l'intérieur en direction de l'axe (18) du foret en partant de la partie coupante (1) de ce dernier au-delà du diamètre (4) de l'encoche pour aboutir dans les rainures hélicoïdales (6, 7).
