[origin: EP0450319A2] The push-button plungers are held in the switching position by means of a mechanical latching device and are released from the switching position again by pressing the push-button plunger again. A contact set is allocated to each push-button plunger. The contact sets are constructed as microswitches and are arranged on a printed-circuit board which can be physically separated from the supporting body of the push-button plungers. Each push-button plunger has an operating finger which is guided displaceably in the operating direction of the push-button plunger. When the push-button plunger is released, said finger is held in front of the microswitch by means of a spring which acts in this direction. When the push-button plunger is operated, said finger presses onto the microswitch as a result of a spring tension, the spring tension being greater than the operating force required for the microswitch. As a result of these measures, the mechanical part of a push-button switch can be used without any change on any desired shapes of electrical circuits and on arrangements of microswitches which influence them. <IMAGE>
