[origin: EP0450399A2] The invention describes a safe, especially a safe deposit box (2). This has a door element (14) which is arranged adjustably in a frame and in which is arranged a lock (16) possessing a main bolt (24) blockable mechanically via a key (22) and a blocking bolt (27) fixable, as required, via a remotely actuable drive (26). The bolts engage in orifices (28, 29) in the door frame, the orifice cross-sections of which are matched respectively to the cross-section of the main bolt (24) and of the blocking bolt (27). An electrically activatable and remotely actuable drive (26) of a retention device is provided for the blocking bolt (27). <IMAGE>
