Abstract (en)
This manhole with a hinged lid and damping joint is of the type composed of a circular frame (2) with a internal collar (2) and of a single circular lid (3) articulated by a radial tenon (4) disposed in a lug (6) of the frame. According to the invention, the damping joint (13) has an inverted T-shaped cross section whose stem is force fitted into a circular groove opening from the lower surface of the lid (3) and whose bearing surface is such that it comes to bear on the collar (14) of the frame, this joint being associated with guidance means (15-16-17-18) for the pivoting of the lid during its overturning closing phase and with guidance means (27) for the insertion of the circular rib (10) of the lid (3) into the opening formed by the collar (14) of the frame (2). <IMAGE>
